From humble beginnings to culinary stardom, Chef Reginald Scott's journey is a testament to passion, resilience, and a love for good eats mane. Raised in Memphis, he found solace in the kitchen.

Houston beckoned, and Chef Reginald Scott embraced the opportunity, joining the team at Kulture, under the mentorship of James Beard Award nominee, Chef Dawn Burrell. Rising swiftly through the ranks, he earned the title of Executive Sous Chef and earned accolades in various culinary competitions.

The pandemic brought unexpected challenges, prompting Chef Reginald Scott to pivot towards his Southern roots and explore the world of barbecue. His innovative techniques and imaginative use of locally sourced ingredients birthed the renowned Best Damn Everything brand and product line, catching the attention of food enthusiasts everywhere.

In 2023, Chef Reginald Scott fulfilled his entrepreneurial dreams by opening The Smoke, a fast-casual barbecue restaurant nestled in the heart of downtown Houston. Signature dishes like "Peyton's Pickles," "Parker's Pies," and "Best Damn" Sauces pay homage to his Memphis roots, named after his two beloved daughters.
